For the past 18 years, Glynis has been a Local Politician (Elected Member) with Highland Council. During this time, she has represented Culloden & Ardersier Ward which is a Rural/Urban Ward. Her Community is very diverse where there are areas of deprivation and indeed areas of prosperity.

Studied and Qualified Bsc Rural Development (Moray College/University of Highlands & Islands)
Glynis currently holds the Portfolio of Chairperson of Housing and Property for Highland Council and was elected to the position of Provost (Mayor of the City of Inverness) in May 2022.
